I’m an author who writes mainly crime fiction although that wasn’t always the case. I’ve been writing for more than 30 years, initially with articles and short stories before I branched out to write novels. My first novel was a historical saga but all the others have been crime and mystery fiction although I did take a detour to write the Nuts \u0026amp; Bolts of Self-Publishing which readers have described as one of the best ‘How To’ guides on the market. Along the way I’ve won many awards including the prestigious Dundee International Book Prize. I’ve been traditionally published by a well established Scottish publishing company but, nowadays, I prefer to do it on my own which was why I registered myself as a publisher. I currently have two crime series. Contemporary thrillers, the Dundee Crime Series, featuring DS Bill Murphy, and a murder mystery series, the Kirsty Campbell Mysteries, set during and after the first World War.
